I think it's because you are using steam, and never decrypted the files.

Try to do a "repair" in steam on your FA installation, and run it at least once from steam to be sure.

actually i did found out what the guy in the last reply said but i still cant get it to work, game works on steam and i redownloaded all the bin folder to be sure

Now the game works if i start it via Steam. And something new and strange:

- in the FAF folder there are 2 main exes: ForgedAlliance.exe which wont work
- and SupremeCommander.exe which somehow works and starts the FA (Vanilla is not installed).

So could i somehow tell FAF to use the SupremeCommander.exe and not the other one which is not working. Perhaps that could save my problem...!?

i did verified the files with steam, and the game DOSE work when starting from steam. also, when i start the game the task manager shows the game's process as "SupremeCommander.exe", while FAF starts a process called "ForgedAlliance.exe" that if i try to start the exe from windows also dose nothing
