FAF won't even open

Uhm hello, this is my first day trying to play FAF (I have been trying to play FA online but I found FAF just today since GPGNet closing)

When I start FA Forever Lobby it will just say Establishing Connection, it won't even open the Log In screen or anything similar, it will just say Connecting, I tried letting it connect for 30 mins and it just won't do anything.

Do I need to open ports or something? I'm running on Windows 7 32-bit (I think it is 32-bit)

EDIT: I tried searching for a log file but it seems there isn't one.

i think you should check if your firewall is blocking it for whatever reason

otherwise try this:
open cmd (windows key+ , neter "cmd")

and type "tracert www.faforever"
and post the results

I tried the cmd and it says:
Cannot resolve system name http://www.faforever

EDIT: Thanks, the firewall was blocking it, dunno why, I can now log in! Thank you!

nvm, it won''t work again .-. any clues? it just does the same and in cmd it will tell me the same thing
