Create account not working

Trying to help some friends create an account but after putting in the username, password, and email address, the GUI just sits there. Using Process Monitor I've confirmed that FAForever.exe successfully sends the info to the server over port 8001 but it doesn't update the UI or send a confirmation email. If I go to the website and look at the username history or reset the password, it finds the account, but no email is ever received. Attempts to log in using these accounts just stay at connecting forever (because the accounts aren't confirmed I assume). We have tried several email addresses and multiple computers with the same results. I've got a group of people I'm trying to port over to FAF for a LAN party, but they can't create accounts.

Note: It worked 4 hours ago when I created my account. Also, the log file doesn't have any entries in it after
