All the streamers/casters I know of are players in the tournament. Other than them the three that would cast games are Gyle/Brnk/arkitect however Gyle never livecasts events, Brnk does not want to do anything officially associated with FAF, and arkitect has been gone for a good year.

I guess we just have to hope jagged loses in groups so we get the best caster

I expect this will be too much to cover in a day and so I plan to have the group stages+BO3 games on one day with the semifinals and finals handled on another date that can be negotiated later on.

The dates are pretty much not negotiable anymore no? For me it is too much to play 2 wholes days on this weekend, its holydays and family and friends plans i cant skip.

I can try and cast as I just got a casting mic, but like Isen, this is time for family/friends so it's kind of tough.

The first date is non-negotiable, the second depends on whether everyone involved (4 people) can decide on a date that works for them. If they can’t, then the default will be to play the next day.

I was initially going to argue that the dates need to be continuous in order to not lose hype for the event, but we don’t really seem to have anyone deadset on the idea of casting the event which makes that fear weigh less for me.

Also as a reminder, macros that give reclaim inputs, move order inputs, whatever are banned under the FAF Rules. If someone is caught using one during the tournament, they will be immediately DQ’d and banned from future tournaments. If they win and I don’t find out until after the tournament is over, they will not win any prize and will be banned from all future tournaments as well.

For the record, group brackets will be seeded by placement. So 1v4 and 2v3 will be the first two games.

IMPORTANT:
THIS IS HOW THE MAPS WILL BE PLAYED IN THE RO8

For the BO3 Round: You MUST play a 10x10 -> 20x20 -> 5x5
For the BO5 Round: You MUST play a 10x10 -> 20x20 -> 5x5 -> 10x10 -> 20x20
For the BO7 Round: You MUST play a 10x10 -> 20x20 -> 5x5 -> 10x10 -> 20x20 -> 5x5 -> 10x10

VETO PROCESS:
The BOTTOM SEED gets the first veto.

Each player will pick the map in the 5x5 category that they wish to veto. The map remaining is the map that shall be played for the 5x5 segment.

Then, each player will remove as many 10x10 maps as needed until they reached either 1 or 2 maps remaining. They will repeat this for the 20x20 category.

This will then give them their maps for this round of the tournament. These maps will be played in alphabetical order, as always.

I will be removing a map from the pool when necessary in order to maintain an even quantity of veto’s between participants. For example, I will decide which 5x5 to veto for the BO7 and which map to initially remove for the 10x10/20x20 portion of the BO3.
