this error is as far as i know not a problem of the programm itself but of your Computer

Whenever I download any new software from the web and launch it to install on my computer it comes up with an error message usually based on 'disk1.cab' file is corrupt. I have uninstalled IE9 as I thought that it was that that was corrupting it. This is not the case. I have tried Firefox and the same thing happpens. I have cleared the downloads folder and I've even tried saving the software to the desktop. Still no success.
It does work if I download the software to another computer (which is also on the same network) and install it from a memory stick into my computer but this is clearly not a long term solution.
As the failure always refers to the 'cab' file then the obvious starting point is to look at Windows msi installer (!?).
Messages are as follows:
Error 1335. The cabinet file 'disk1.cab' required for this installation is corrupt and cannot be used. This could indicate a network error, an error reading from the CD-ROM, or a problem with this package.
OR
Error 1335. The cabinet file 'media1.cab' required for this installation is corrupt and cannot be used. This could indicate a network error, an error reading from the CD-ROM, or a problem with this package.
if this describes your problem try this
Method 1:
You can try saving the download to a different drive on the hard drive other than C: drive and see if it workss.
Method 2: Run Check disk to fix any bad sectors on the hard drive.
a. Open the Command Prompt window by clicking the Start button, clicking All Programs, clicking Accessories, and then right clicking Command Prompt.
b. At the command prompt type chkdsk /f and then press enter.
Now, type in chkdsk /r and press enter.
c. Restart the computer and check.
Note: CHKDSK would try to recover bad sectors on the hard disk, during this process there are chances of DATA loss from that particular sector, so you can take a backup before running checkdisk.
hope i was able to help you
