For the BO5 matchups, you will first play on the first map picked for the BO3. Whoever wins on that first map will take the role of the “champion” and the losing team will be the “challenger” and the BO5 will follow the map picking order specified in the OP. The first game is purely for setting up the roles, it does not influence the BO5 game win count.
As a reminder, I expect people to contact their opponents WITHIN a day or two. If your opponents are not answering PMs, let me know. If I feel you are holding up the tournament for an unreasonable amount of time, I will DQ you for that biweek. This is particularly important for the O3400 bracket as there are a lot of games that need to take place. I don’t have sympathy for how difficult it is to contact your teammate. I’m trying to keep track of twenty players, you can keep track of one.
Also, there is the tournament channel #2v2WWPC that will always be open. I’d recommend setting it to autojoin so you can quickly see who is online and meetup with people for games. Also a lot easier to talk about setting up games since pms can only happen between 2 people. I’ll also have an easier time seeing who is on when they’re supposed to be and it will just generally simplify all communication.
