but what if you gain rating after signing up

Exactly, when the team is above the limit when the signups are closed, the players will be put in the "alone" list and redistributed on other teams.

So if you're just about under the limit you're basically forbidden for playing normal games before the tournament because it might fck up? That's a bit stupid isn't it

What is hilarious is that all the people in the year-end LoTS tourney are going to gain/lose so much rating 3 days before the tourney it won't make sense for them to sign up
