TAG vs WORLD tournament!

Think you have what it takes? Fight to the death with FA's premiere clan of the most skilled commanders the game has ever seen. Big stakes and even bigger bragging rights are up for grabs in this single-elimination tourney that pits the entire world against the might of TAG. Want to prove your superiority? This is your chance.

HOW IT WORKS

This is a single elimination tournament. This means that TAG will play 2v2s, 3v3s and 4v4s until we have no members left - in the unlikely event a TAG should fall in battle, he will no longer play in the tournament. Should all TAGs be killed, the World will have won the tournament; should the World run out of combatants, then TAG shall be declared the victor. If one of the Challengers falls, they will be out of the tournament as well - therefore, bring as many backup challengers as you can.

Example:

Let's say 6 TAGs are ready for the tourney, as are 20 Challengers.

TAG plays 4v4s/3v3s/2v2s, based on availability, over a weekend until there are no more Challengers remaining. Should only 3 TAGs remain, then only 3v3s can be played; similarly, if only 2 remain then there will only be 2v2s for the remainder of the tourney, and should a lone TAG remain he will fight to the death in 1v1s until he emerges victorious - or falls under the sheer numbers of the Challengers.

Should all the Challengers should fall, then TAG shall be victorious.

One caveat, intended to prevent everyone ACU rushing a single TAG and forfeiting the game to score a single kill, is that if TAG loses two members in a 4v4 yet still wins the game, TAG can recall one TAG to continue on in the tournament. Only one TAG may be recalled per round won under these conditions.

MAPS

Maps will be decided upon in the game lobby before each game begins. Nothing is off the table. Think you have a clever strategy on a specific map? Go for it.

PRIZES

Prizes are TBA. However, the sheer bragging rights that would come from being part of the team which takes TAG down in their own tourney should be more than enough compensation on its own!

TIMING

Due to the large number of players that will be involved, we are going to be hosting it over a weekend, scheduled for October 1st. Games will be played in an ad-hoc fashion over this period, until there are no more TAGs or Challengers left standing.

HOW TO REGISTER

Post here and/or PM Raging_Squirrel on FAF to be added to the Challenger queue. On the weekened it happens, just show up and we'll start organizing the games. As the starting date draws nearer we will be posting more information on the TAGs you will be up against; at a minimum you can expect to see:

TAG_ROCK
TAG_PEBBLE
TAG_Raging_Squirrel
TAG_uberge3k
TAG_SiN
TAG_Seton
wetlettuce

Bring friends and join up for your chance to take on the clan that's dominated SCFA!

It depends on how many participants there are and how the timing works out, isen. Teamgames will have the priority while we have enough people to support them. :)

Uber, shouldn't TAG win the tournament first before you call yourselves "masters of fa"? Or any tournament?

You guys aren't bad.... but you're hot shit either ;-p
