2v2 Tournament (total combined rating 2300)

This weekend, i will be hosting a noob tourney where 2 players can compete with a combined rating (global) of 2300.
Players may only enter if they have played 100+ games to avoid smurfage.

To be clear, there wont be a prize pool, this is for fun only.

Tournament will commence at 6.pm on sunday BST

I encourage all players to join, im guess there will be a nice mix of teams Pro+noob etc.

Rules

Score off
Maps and positions will be stipulated in the challonge page
Teams can be reformed last minute as long as they fit within the rating limit.
Results must be sent to system failure via private message
Sign-ups will be expected to play, and must show up
Teams will be disqualified if they disobey any rules

Do you accept imaginary teammates (teams with only 1 player)?

blodir, you could probably convince some random 0 to play with you and have them run at the opponent blindly with their acu as soon as they spawn in

(in retrospect it was a bad idea to give him a mobile nuke and extra starting res, a 2v1 vs blodir is stacked enough in his favour already :y)

I wanted to do that, but they require 100 games played and its pretty difficult to find a 0 rating with 100 games (I tried)

Why you want to play in a noob tourney blodir? Do you think a win would be honorable?

System_Failure should add a max rating for each player.

i know of some 200s with over 100 games, idk if that's within your range. if system was being literal with the "100 games" quota then it should be pretty easy, but most semi-regular players around 0 rank play only unranked

Seriously though, what's up with this sense of "honor"? I mean I get it that his primary audience is "noobs", but that does not mean its some cardinal sin to suggest a non-noob (pretty arrogant to call myself not a noob, I know, sorry) could play with an even lower rated player? If the TD doesn't like the idea, it's his tourny, he can do whatever he wants with it, end of story. But if he thinks it would be kinda fun, then why not? You don't dictate what is morally acceptable... Besides I genuinely don't see anything even remotely questionable about this.

Well you could have a zero rated noob, or even, if you want a challenge, have a -200 player to bring the average down. Its up to you, but 2 players must be present
