Donations for Tournament Prizes

sorry for not giving an official reply here yet, was a bit busy

I was trying to reach you in lobby, but didn't have the chance, so I will write down everything here for future reference, transparency and so others can jump in with ideas.

As stated above the official FAF Tourney paypal is banned for 'suspicious activity' (multiple people using one account is not allowed). So i have been using my personal paypal to fund tournaments. ([email protected])

I would like to announce the tournament this friday (1.9), so if you have the video ready for release please send it to me so we can include it on 'what's new' page. I would also like to ask gyle to promote it, so we get more views on the Tournament stream (He is on vacation now though, so will have to be later). Also I will ask arkitect to stream all the tourneys, he did beyond excellent job the last time. Also since there was an avatar reset i would like to give out a bunch of avatars (Strategic genius and Winner of hearts mostly).

Exotic_Retard agreed to make an avatar for the monthly tournaments and also for the Finals.

He also asks what kind of avatar would you like for the Finals. (I was thinking about a big L, but you might have a better idea)

I would like to host the qualification tourneys on these days (all saturdays 18:00 CEST or 16:00 GMT)

Sounds great Tokyto. I will organise qualification prize money transfer tonight. The video is close to done so I will aim to finish it by Thursday and upload to youtube so you can access it. Maybe a commet would be good for the avatar...or there is an image I am using as the backdrop to my Hall of Fame video sequence that might work. Anyway need every spare second now to finish the video this week

For the record, i payed up the exchange fees and transfer fees (30 AUD), but im not going to be paying for the transfer fees to other players, that would get me bankrupt

This means that players won't receive the full prize, but about 3-5% less, unless i win a lotery, then they receive 3-5% more!

Wow...PayPal is double dipping

They charged me an extra AU$20 to send the money in the first place. Tokyto are you still able to contact Zock to ask him how he worked around this problem?

I wonder if he set up the original donation account as a "Not for profit" account which has reduced fees. On the weekend I will do some Googling to see what options there are and how we can work around dumb fees! Worst case I have to send extra
