In an effort to make LegendOfTheStars tournament worthwhile I'm going to make it a strict goal to contribute at least 3 solid 1v1 maps to the community before it takes place.

We all need to make some fresh content to make this more attractive and show value to contributions of this nature.

I hope everyone can join me in fine-tuning material beforehand.

also, I'd like to see the build up for the end of year tourney starting now, ideally with qualifier tournaments where the top x players qualify to get into the finals with the big prize.

i don't have a heap of time atm, but I will do what i can to help with this

Hi FAF community.

Well it is time to help Tokyto out with five(5) dates to add to the FAF 2017 gaming calendar.

Also a shout out to Downlord, great work mate!! arkitect, Heaven & Gyle - enjoying your content guys. Everyone else who contributes to FAF - Thank you

For my part I will again sponsor an End-of-Year-Championship.

The format from last year was fantastic so I will sponsor four (4) qualifying tournaments and the main championship.

The final tournament will feature the best 16 FAF players competing for the title, a unique trophy, and a cash prize in a series of exciting games! This is a 1v1 tournament with no rating limit.

a) LegendOfTheStars Championship Qualifying Tournaments x 4 (Aug,Sep,Oct,Nov)
Prize pool for each tournament:
1st place: 50 $AU
2nd place: 30 $AU
3rd place: 20 $AU
+ first three finalists and highest placed U1900 player in tourney will earn a spot in the 'End-of-Year-Championship 2017' tournament!
NOTE: To mix it up and share the limelight, each 1st place winner is ineligible for the following qualifiers (ie- you can win only one qualifier please)

b) LegendOfTheStars FAF End-of-Year-Championship 2017 (December)
1st place: 500 $AU + TROPHY (approx 1000 $AU total)
2nd place: 150 $AU
3rd place: 50 $AU

I'm not an organizer so I will thank in advance Tokyto, the Tournament Directors and Casters!

Let planning for the end of year Championship begin. Lets see if we can promote the event this year to get more live views for our great casters

I tried donating the qualifiers prize money to the faf donations account https://www.paypal.me/FAFtournaments

It fails with the error "This recipient is currently unable to receive money". Is there a problem with the link?

When is the August event happening? There are only two weekends after this one, and with an event already taking place it's kind of making it difficult to plan in advance...

I've not heard of planned dates yet...maybe qualifiers will need to run Sept, Oct, Nov & 1st week of December.

Good news, the glass artist has agreed to work with me again this year so I'll be meeting with him in the next two weeks to discuss this years design...because no-one wants to fight for a cheap generic trophy

I'm also half-done on a new promo video for the championship & FAF in general
