Donations for Tournament Prizes

Hi everyone,

It is now possible to specifically support tournaments on FAF with donations! All donations will be used as prize for future tournaments and are greatly appreciated. You will help to keep tournaments happen and to make them great.

You can donate to [email protected] on paypal or use this link (if it works in your country) https://www.paypal.me/FAFtournaments.

If you want to support a specific tournament or tournament type (such as only big tournaments, or only aussie tournaments), you can write here or send a pm which donation is yours, and what you want it to be used for.

Can we please give out avatars or other cosmetic stuff for money? With this faf PayPal all we have to do is get the mods to agree to give stuff out for donating. Please? Since I'm on my phone its a pain but can someone link the thread that kalv made about this?

Donations over a certain amount can get the donation avatar (cookie), i'm not sure whats appropriate, maybe 25$ ? Maybe i can get something like i golden cookie for donations over 100$ or so. I'd stay away from custom avatars for now.

Well the custom in game stuff looks really really awesome. Golden avatar seems kinda lame compared to that

If the donations have no special purpose, i am deciding for the moment. The weekly tourneys are funded by visionik, so i expect the donations to be either saved for some bigger tournament ideas, like from a certain Blodir , and/or other small tourneys like violets aussie tourneys or some other tourney ideas i got approach with in the past with the wish for sponsoring a prize.

Hi FAF community.

As a long time fan of the Supreme Commander series and now FAF, I would like to help build the FAF gaming community by sponsoring:

a) LegendOfTheStars Monthly Tournament (Jul-Nov 2016) - Open to all players
* $AU50 winner takes all (Zock to direct prize to best tournament wherever it is)

b) LegendOfTheStars FAF End-of-Year-Championship 2016 (December)
* First Prize - AU$500
* Second Prize - AU$150
* Third Prize - AU$50

I'm not an organizer so if I put up the prize money I'm assuming one of the existing Tournament Directors can manage the events? Note: key players like Zock need to be able to participate even if they help organize the tournament.

Zock, are you happy for me to use the donate link to transfer the prize money up front so planning for the end of year tourney can begin?
