Rules:
-u1200 ladder rating
Players who get caught of artificially lowering their rating will be banned from this and all future tournaments
-Double Elimination (or swiss, up to change)
-Default settings
-If a disconnect results in a loss or a rematch will be decided by the tournament director
-A draw results in a rematch.
-If a match doesn't start within 15 minutes of a T.D announcing the round starting the T.D may disqualify any players causing delay


Prizes:
1st place: Tournament winner avatar + Zock lesson
2nd place: A faction avatar of your choice

How to play?
Doubleclick the FAF tournament tab to sign up
In a timespan of 10 minutes before and after the start time of the tournament, you will get automatically moved to a new chat channel in FAF.
Click on the tournament tab to speed it up. If it doesn't work, contact the tournament director so he can move you manually.
If you are not in the channel, you won't be able to play the tournament!

Apologies if I've missed something, but i don't understand why these lower ranking tourneys aren't advertised on the client news page like the higher ranked ones are? If i'm not mistaken there was a u500 or something that wasn't either and was subsequently cancelled due to lack of interest. Avg Joes are probably less likely to go onto the forum and less likely to hear through "word of mouth" than the higher ranked players. Does everyone check the tourney tab on a regular basis? Maybe. Maybe Joes are Joes because they haven't the time or desire to participate so competitively. But if any tourney needs advertising for participants, surely it's the Avg Joe ones?

Just a suggestion.

Edit: I can't read. I thought this was happening this weekend. Premature suggestion. Apologies.
Edit2: Although, now i see that it is the u1500 tourney this weekend. Same sentiments apply to that.

All tourneys are supposed to be on whats new, if some aren't it is not because of their rating limit but for other reasons (time probably)

The news posting can and should improve (I put someone else in charge of it a couple days ago), but its not intentional left out.

It's random, but you can prepare by playing ladder as that are the ladder maps (maybe slightly outdated).
