Screens. UHD

Postby -_V_- » 22 May 2015, 21:19

I think I saw something about this before but I can't find the thread again.

How does FA run on UHD monitors ? Any screenshot? and is it playable , as in isn't the UI too small ?

Is it possible to play windowed and use properly 2 monitors ? I just tried UI Party mod, but it's quite buggy and isn't really what I'm after.
It's much more convenient to have 2 diff windows.

If it is on a MacBook with retina display you can play 1v1 because your cpus aren't fast enough for setons. I use a 29" ASUS IPS display at 2560x1080 and it doesn't have any problems because of zoom. Unfortunately, I know your laggy ass too well and I bet you are going to try to play setons on a retina macraptop.

Judging from the size of the UI, I would say galacticfear and styrbjorn use UHD monitors. You can ask them maybe.

A MBP Retina 15" is capable enough to play Seton's, that i7 Ivy/Haswell/Broadwell is pretty good and MBP Retina thermal designs are actually really good.

It doesn't have the clock speed. A mac book pro will run -4 in setons. Maybe worse at 1 hour with a retina display. Test it before you comment. MBP is not a gaming machine in any way.

I'm in the possession of one and I don't have experience with that Setons example, but with stress CPU (along with stressing GPU) programs it uses turbo quite comfortably without throttling around 3GHz. So you might as well shut up and stop assuming things, idiot. 3GHz Ivy bridge is in no way -4 in Seton's. I'll agree that MBP is no gaming machine, but that's mainly due to graphics which really don't matter in SupCom (it's also not up to par with high end gaming machines of course, because these turbo higher). Test it before you comment, because I'm sure you didn't.

It's only 3 GHz because Apple uses the cheapest i7's....
