these are quite cool :)

i think if you make it so that the square distortions end at the same time or 0.5-1.5sec after the logo is drawn it would be better

Now for some suggestions :

The effect should be diverse for each faction.

I think stick with the effect you got for UEF. Dictatures always have dated graphics in their propaganda videos. The Retro Effect works perfect with it.


Here are my suggestion for the other races :

Cybran needs something that looks way ahead of its time, way futuristic, that someone part robot would appreciate and understand. perhaps a bit of noise, but instead of using the VCR kinda noice you used on them all currently use a digital type noise.

better yet, no noise at all. Cybran make no mistakes when it comes to digital : maybe something tron-esque but red.

Seraphim needs to really have some sort of alien aesthetic. Something weird yet strangely aesthetic. I imagine shapes, pulling and morphing together out of an inate lump or lumps or goo or assortment of shapes to rise and form up into the seraphim logo then the text would spin from very thin to written alien-style. And be barely legible.
Something very alien like. perhaps something near to this but looking like actual letters.

and Aeon should be something that appears by shining through the dark (to convey the religious undertone strongly)
it just slightly turn and approaches the camera then shines very brightly.

Nomads NEEDS to have one. (Nomads are a faction too! :P)

I'm offering my help. I know modelling under maya and have worked plenty with première and after effects.

Glad you like it. I think the question would be: what exactly do we want to accomplish here? I made those for fun but I'm open to ideas that would justify the work load. =)

I think them being added to FAF would be a great idea. Showing people that the platform is moving and active.

As I've said. I feel the current style is very UEF-ish and it would be more interesting to have differen styles for the different factions and to of course not forget Nomads :>

I can recognize why say the worth UEF mention of the style within all Logos, but maybe still on just a one design idea for any on place of the same for the "difference" of each, might maybe incline to just change the one style for use on "all"??

Each having their own style would be cool, but the question still rather say I ask or not, is still what??

Maybe just something that can maybe "stem" away from UEF, but think its fine on a "Universal" interest...given the Logos themselves if not mistaken anyways, don't place difference when the phrase(s)/word(s) do..so..I don't know..

But nice though still..
