Transport Veterancy

Postby Resin_Smoker » 08 Apr 2015, 18:08

Veterancy gained with a units attached to a transport should be applied to the transport as well. Currently Ghetto-Gunships do not gain experience from "shared" kills despite taking a huge amount of anti-air. While I could make a mod to do just this, it's kind of pointless if the community has no intention of using it. (Aside from those that would just like to try it)

Question is, would the community use it and would this be something worth adding to FAF?

i like the idea, early ghetto is currently kind of weak compared to early jester.

though, imo it does not make much sense to have this feature while only LABs can fire from transports. we should think about which other units should maybe be able to use (some?) of their weapons from transports aswell

We played a few games where anything could fire from transports. No doubt a Continental loaded with T3 artl was the most uber.

how about Mobile AA? In close battles Flak would behave like a sawed off shotgun in a room.

I'd say "Anything that can possibly fire downwards from the transport".
Mech Marines for sure due to the arms.
Same for Loyalists and Titans
Maybe the Ilshawoh?
