Ok so here is the deal,

Don't delete this post - debate the issue, but actually debate it!!!

I am sick to death of our moderators, who chose them???? Most have been handpicked from GPG but others that were pals of Zep recruited. I have been here since the beginning, go check yes its true.

I want to say that I am fully behind Visionik and sympathize with some of his frustrations, but the moderation team don't follow with the community idea that has been banded around for the rest of FAF.

If this is to be community run, I want community chosen moderators, not pals of Zep and others that fell into the job.

I always say don't propose problems propose solutions, so here is mine!!!!!

I want the same choice for moderators as we had for councilor, I want a full vote on moderation. I want people to put themselves forward as a moderator and people to vote if they are worthy.

Guess what, I will be putting myself forward!!!!

I beg don't close the thread, its a massive frustration of not only me but many. Listen to your community and let them decide who moderates!

honestly, i dont want you to be a moderator.

1. your behavior doesnt set a good example - argument ends here - you already are not eligible.

2.while what you said may be true, you need to say what implications this has on the way they moderate - you havent stated a clear problem yet.

how is the method they became moderators revelant? and you didnt say why you are sick to death of them. i dont see any moderating issues here.

i guess you could elect them community based, but it really doesnt matter imho. besides, voting is actually a bad idea as a whole - the people who know best should deide and not the average player. (see t3maa and how that got voted in, mostly by ~700rated players)

so having said all that, i humbly suggest you to be quiet

The method they became moderators is the whole issue, we claim to have a democratic process here, yet it excludes the moderation group. I will not humbly be quiet about it when it involves the very survival of our beloved FAF!

I have tried to be polite about the situation many times, I have tried to ask the question again many times, to be ignored. Only when I pipe up and become abusive does anyone take note, its wrong.

If there is to be discussion, the forums are the place for it.

Vision listen to your community trust me this is an issue that needs looking at!!!

Yeah I know. I was in the same situation as you on another community. Once casi is given power I have no doubt whatsoever that he do a good job with it. People in his position mess with moderators BECAUSE they are upset with the poor administration of rules. If he were in the position of power, he would do everything in his power to make sure that the same abuse of rules doesn't happen again. No one understands that some people are able to switch to being serious

I don't know the exact circumstances as to what brought this about, but what is allowed and what is not sometimes is questionable. We're all a bunch of internet dorks that look at and discuss stupid stuff - why hide it?

There have been some pranks and jokes pulled by myself that have been in ill-taste, yet I don't see how it really hurts things. If people get into a text altercation on Aeolus public chat day-in-and-day-out I can't see this being an issue *cough* Anaryl *cough* Lame *cough*. The majority of us have some episodes every so often and it can be fun / lame for others, but why does it have to be so darn strict...

It does feel gestapo-ish.
