You should look at existing examples of mods, of which there are hundreds on the GPG mod forums. That's how everybody got started, and it's how you should.

Also, fortunately for you, Blueprint mods are extremely easy, and that's all you need to know how to do in order to make a mod that converts FA to Vanilla's balance.

Honestly, here isn't really the place to run a mod, FAF is great, but these forums aren't set up for that, which is fine, we still have the GPGnet forums for all that.

So head over there and theres a few things you'll want to do;

First] Read the best tutorial on the subject of SupCom Modding: Exavier's Basics, Units/Projectiles/Beams Creation

Second, Start a thread in Moho Mod Talk for the mod, it might seem weird because you are just trying to recreate things, but all mods have threads there, so it tends to be where people go looking for mods, and second it gives you a place to talk about things like whether or not to keep the T2 bots and T2 Air units that were added as a pack to Vanilla or even if you should include the rest of the FA new units ect ect

Third, make yourself a thread in Mod Dev Support where you will post for help, don't make a post for every little issue, that will just clutter everything up.

And lastly, be prepared to work, we still have some great people kicking around the GPGNet, but don't expect the work to be done for you, if you run into an issue, chances are you'll be told how to fix it, not have it fixed for you, just be ready because the number of times we've had people expect teh work done for them is pretty disheartening.

This is essentially true.

HOWEVER, with merge files, you only *need* to include the values you actually change. You do not need to (And in fact should not) replace the entire file.
