Yes it's true many old GPG players don't know about FAF.

There has to be some way to reach out to them I said it before. There were some plans, like getting articles on gaming websites and such. Anything going on in that regard still?

I played FAF on steam for a year before bothering to see what FAF was about. I knew about it for ages but it looked (visually) quite dull and I thought it was just a way of getting maps. It was not clear at all to me that there were thousands of games a night with thousands of maps with awesome players and meta and balh blah blah. FAF is magnificent but the FAF homepage doesn't do it justice. In terms of old players there are old FAF players today who could get in touch with other old players ... there just needs to be a catalyst...

I heard a rumour that visionik was sponsoring a $3000 tournament that ONLY old players could win and that you had to prove that you were on GPG top 100 to be eligible but couldn't be an existing FAF player.

Ok ... I confess, I just started that rumour
