Banning is getting out of hand

I was just banned by Legion for saying COCKS for JESUS when this guy had been preaching about Jesus in chat for 20 minutes.

Why are we policing the internet? I have contributed my hard earned money towards this community. I've been a part of it since TA started in 1997. I've been here CONSTANTLY - and now because Legion is upset I'm banned forever.

Visionik - you've got to put a stop to this bullshit. This community is dying because these guys are so kick and ban happy.

We don't come here hoping that our precious virgin eyes won't see a curse word. We come here to play and have fun with our friends. Who is going to get offended by my cocks for jesus? Why is it MORE offensive than preaching for 20 minutes?

NEITHER of us should be banned. If someone is destroying chat and people are begging for it - then it's different. Banning members who have a huge part of this community because of a few lines of chat is ridiculous.

This kind of behavior will end this community forever.

You aren't banned forever, you are banned for 24 hours. You were also bashing gays and you were warned. If you wish to appeal this decision feel free to sent a private message to the IRC Moderator usergroup. The difference with him preaching and you saying cocks for Jesus is that his preaching is largely inoffensive while your statement was not.
