New Exploit - Instant Life Ban

It has come to our attention that there is a newly discovered exploit. Any users discovered using it from now on will be banned for life.

It works by upgrading your ACU with a shield or stealth and then doing any other upgrade while the acu is paused.

This upgrade will continue to build while the ACU is paused while costing no resources.

This also applies to SCU upgrades as well.

Two replay examples are attached. If you suspect someone of using this exploit then please report the replay to the moderators. Its easy enough to check. Just watch the replay and see if they are getting the upgrade while paused.

Zep has also mentioned that any games previous to this date that are reported will result in bannings as well if it is proven it was purposeful.

It made me remember of a gpg bug where the acu could do an upgrade at the cost of another upgrade(I'm not even sure if it was true).
But woh this exploit is huge =/ But better to know that info in order to avoid doing it without knowing it. (pausing for ras/aras is not rare at all)

Btw does someone have already had this weird bug ?
Your com is doing an upgrade while moving, and to stop that you have to cancel upgrade (which is annoying because wasted ressources if you don't see it fast)

I guess I will never use UEF Cybran again if you get instant life ban from something that is really easy to do by accident...

I pause my commander upgrades really often, I wouldn't be surprised if I've done it once or twice by mistake...

What may help a bit : Turn off Shield/Stealth. With it off, the acu/sacu won't upgrade.

At first time i was not know about what is Zep talking but this kind of exploit?
I probably do this kind of abuse exploit in past, because i many time have bad energy economy so must pause everything when recognite that upg acu mean eco crash. And because play it long time so is very presumably that i do it accidently in past too. now you want to say that i get life ban ?

in fact i think that this issue has brought my attention to the rules, and i think they should be combined all into one post with clear consice rules, in 2 sections. one for the forum/aeolus chat, and another for in-game behaviour.

Actually now that I think about it this exploit is already covered in the banned exploits thread under "Using any ACU upgrade bug that allows free upgrades."
