It does a little less damage than every other T2 torp but i dont think it is the issue.
The issue is the bomb drops the torpedo a few meters away from the target, very deep, then it starts an ascending trajectory from sea bottom towards the ship hull. The issue is when the unit is near shore or in not deep enough water. Maybe middle lake in canis river is a good example of a place where you couldn't use sera torps ? (not sure at all about this, since i haven't done any testing).
Other bombers seem to drop the torpedo directly into the ship from the air (more like T1 bombers), or at least they stay near water surface (aeon T3 torp)
Not sure about the details but it misses a fuckin lot.
For the lolz try to kill a fleet of running cybran destros with sera torps. I'd agree that its a hardly the best move in the first place, but other torps behave decently. Sera torps are useless crap.
There is no bug, and it doesn't miss. What you see as "missing" is the antitorpedo. Try it against ships without antitorpedo and it will be fine.
Other torpedobombers ignore antitorpedo, because they don't drop into the water (cybran and uef), or use depth charges and no torpedos (aeon).
Because of that, aeon and sera also don't work in shallow water, while cybran and uef do.
If it needs to be "fixed" is another question, but it is rather irrelevant since it doesn't look like there will be another balance patch any time soon.

sorry what ? not dropping into the water ?
But besides, I will try again tonight, but I'm sure sera torps miss and not because of the antitorps. Visually they seem to hit the void The only torpedo bomber that shouldn't be affected by antitorps are aeon, because they use anti depth charges.
Besides I am hardly the only one who noticed that something is severely wrong.
