Stopping bomber to make it re-fire without flying

Hi all,

I start this post cause i didn't find this reported anywhere.
So... What's the purpose ?

I see many players abusing the fact that, if you micro your bomber(s) (T1 ; T2 ; T3 ; Awhassa), you are able to
1) shoot
2) stop your bomber(s) until the time to reload
3) let bomber(s) go for 0.001 meter
1) reshoot
and do that again and again.

So you can easily, at start with t1 bomber, kill all energy or the 4 mexes. Just write "it's part of the game !" after that.
You can easily, later, kill a stupid commander who was under 5 shields without T3 AA or not in range, without moving the planes. Then write "it's part of the game !!"
You can easily, stop that Awhassa and bomb 2 or 3 times without a move and then write "it's part of the game !!!"

You may say "hey, just make AA !"
Fix T1 AA is epic against it, but at start, almost noone will spend time, eco on it.
Mobile T1 AA is not bad, but you need at least 2 or 3 before it becomes effective. Time you make them, you waste time, and bomber can shoot 3 or 4 times = you have no more pgen if they are put together.
Figthers : if you started land, and your opponent went air, then you will never get the fighter ready to counter the bomber.

Without that point, i think bomber are air units and except for jester, gunship, which are "air stationnary made", bomber need to fly to be "bomber". Or they are jester or gunship.

"IT'S PART OF THE GAME", they say. I personnaly think it just ruins the gameplay.

Do you agree with my point of view and think that "bomber stopping" should be patch (= no fly, no shoot), or do you assume that stationnay bomber is just normal and we have to let it be ?

how often have you seen that happen, in terms of its ratio against the total amount of game played?
whenever that happens to me, I blame myself:
Fu*k I suck at microing,his bomber can do triple bomb i can only do one
Go dammit I was not as aggressive as he is
Omfg I am so bad at eco management; he micros and ecos, but i still suck compared to him

Regardless of shoulda woulda coulda, it turns out patching this without ruining Bombers totally is REALLY FREAKING DIFFICULT. So no, for the moment, it won't be addressed.

The problem is first bomber. If you get owned by second air bomber, it's your own fault, since you had plenty of time to make a counter.

How to fix first bomber? Easy: remove t1 engies from t1 airfac.

also just want to remind you that compared to 3603 beta, t1 bombers now cost significantly more power and build time
and have twice less dps, cause their reload is twice slower.

OBVIOSLY easy way to fix it is just to bump reload time up to 8-10 seconds from original 4
but that would remove all bomber micro from game

strat bombers and ahwassa are bigger problem, they have huge speed and they can trow bombs almost as far as t3 sam range
t3 bomber is hard to micro but ahwassa (probably) flyes higher and faster than stat bomber

also you can sometimes see people abuse high cliffs to trow bombs futher away

you can avoid antiair with t2 bombers too, just by flying kinda in circles and trowing bomb while turning so bomber does not fly above target, ofc antiair turret will able to hit bomber, but if antiair turret is at some distance from target you can avoid aa.

Basicly just cause you can hover with any bomber, you can avoid aa with it

problem with t1 bomber that it has lowest reload time - 4 sec
strats are not big problem cause they are harder to micro and usually at that stage of game there is antiair everywhere and they have longer reload time - 5 sec
t2 bombers have 10 sec realod, that is why no one ever microes them, except corsairs that can shoot while hover, that ability was nerfed by decresing corsair range...
Ahwassa problem is different from t1 bomber problem, cause it has 10 sec reload and hovering does not increases it dps (maybe only slightly)
but you can avoid aa and act like a gunship if you micro ahwassa...

and biggest problem that if you remove that ability from t1 bombers you will remove micro..

is 1rst bomber really that OP?
or second air into bomber?

If you are against aeon you can probably repair each pgen for 1 hp and that will give you extra 4 seconds of time
Uef and cybran bombers can kill pges cause they have ~300 damage, but they shoot inaccurate if you hover with them
sera bombers is pretty strong for 1rst bobmer build and imho easyest to micro for some reason xD

can't say much about second air into fast bomber...
just build radar, it will give you plenty of time to make some mobile antiair
Edit: actually no, you can't make radar so early
also against 1rst bomber you can just rebuild pgens on wrecks and continue play like nothing happened

The best way to remove this is by making bombers a non-Vtol craft

This has been discussed a million times. And It's been "fixed" without the need of increasing reload time as stated above. Check out the mod by resin and it will explain everything.
