Mod bounty/bidding.

Postby Innomen » 20 Aug 2014, 12:56

I will pay for the following mod:
I want a new attack posture, seek and destroy. When set this way the unit will move to and engage the nearest viable target.

Lowest bidder wins.

Is 5$ a fair opening bid?

The mod belongs to the community once it's made.

If this works out I may buy other mods :)

Any takers?

It's been done. The Basilisk unit (BlackOps Unleashed, Cybran, Experimental) has a built-in pseudo-AI which makes it get bored if given no orders and seek out new targets to kill. Take a look at that :)

Hmm. Then I guess I have to lower my opening bid :P I'd still like it as an non-default attack option for any unit which is capable of moving/attacking.

Edit: To be clear. The bounty stands and the lowest bidder gets it. Bidding starts at 5$ unless someone willing and able to make the mod wants me to start it higher.

One unit in a massive collective mod is insufficient for me.

I think this is a great idea - Community members wanting to pay other community members for the creation of Mods. That is the only reason we all have BuildRange Rings- Someone hired Moritz to make a buildRange mod.(special points to who can name that player :P) Now we all enjoy it, otherwise - We'd not have it.

The buildrange mod is integrated into FAF now. It's the Orange ring around your ACU and all engineers.

Is it just me or does your ACU sometimes build outside it's build ring? It happens somewhat reliably with a Sera commander. And sometimes Aeon ACU but almost never with cybran or uef.
