my probably stupid question

Postby psychkik » 14 Aug 2014, 02:00

Now lets begin the uef titan.
Can someone tell me when its better to build it that a percy/2pillar and a shield.

I can only imagine kiteing and raiding but imo his dps is to low for anything larger than a engi or t1
Now it can probaby kill 3 pillars before it goes down. But it seems useless against a big force.

Thank you for the reactions to this silly question of a mere 1300 player.

Kiting no, but raiding could be a good Idea...
The problem is that Titans are UP... if they had a bit more range, damage and armor(HP+ shield) they would be very descent

Titan is only good at cleaning up t1 and raiding mexes. 2 Pillars and a shield aren't as good at cleaning up t1 (firerate) and raiding mexes (speed), same with Percy (which can actually get overwhelmed by swarms of t1 if there aren't that many of Percies). Other than that the range (I think biggest problem) and dps are too low to compete with other units. Titan is really laughable against Illshavoh.

Titans are slightly better than pillars, and percy doesn't kill T1. That's why you make titans, so that you don't get owned by medusa or ztuee spam :)

The Titan has a problem which is a general problem for uef. Titan loses mass to mass against other factions t2 tanks and bots. But uef cannot really compete in mass with pillars against other t2 or at least not for a long time or in big numbers. There is a black hole between t1 and percival.

rhino with medusa beats pillar
ylshavoh + t1 ari is no question more range more dps more life
obsidian with or without shields and auroras behind will clean pillars like air

In bigger numbers if you are crazy enough to stay on t2 level as uef you need mongoose bots with shields.

It would be nice to see that titan can win mass euqal against t2 of other factions. I think range is needed for this just a bit. Then uef can do a t3 rush which is suicide at the moment since you spent 4k mass for a t3 factory just to be owned by t2.

And the story about the t2 is no fairytale. You can test it. Obsidians of aeon not only win against titans the smash them.

True, the only time I manage to use Titans is when rushing T3 and then taking over the map flooded by mantis. For now only worked on Daroza's. (killing 100 Mantis with 3 Titans is really enjoyable)
Pillars are only good with shields and Percivals are slow to make and expensive, takes time to make a sufficient number. UEF could really use some sort of improvement on Titans.
Peace through superior firepower.

The problem I have with this is simple a usual gane will stay a little while on t2.
By the time you get t3 uef it is to kill the enemy overwelming t2 you kinda killed every single t1 tank by than.
So titan good when rushed an no tech from couterpart..... Aka useless
well that is a relief atleast I now know that I have been using them right.
Thanks alot guys ^^

This is actually only a problem in low level games..... all tiers are useful in all stages of the game. This rule applies 10x to t1 arty!

Not all t1 arty are interesting in late-game. Lobos and Fervors aren't really any good in late-game, while Zthuees and Medusas stay interesting way longer.
