OK so PilOt has decided to try integrating the whole "Satellite dies to Nuke" thing. I wrote that code as a proof of concept without much thought as to what happens to the base station if/when the Satellite dies, so now I need to get some input on which direction to go for polishing it. There are three realistic options, all of which I would consider balanced.
1: Keep everything as-is. The death of the Satellite to a Nuke will not kill the Novax station. The player simply has to ctrl-k, reclaim the Mass, and rebuild, or even just rebuilt on the wreck if time is a factor and not mass.
2: The base station auto-destructs. This would save the player the trouble of ctrl-k-ing the structure manually, but is not otherwise much different from option 1.
3: The base station begins to build a new satellite, at a cost of Novax-reclaim value of base station, with energy costs also reduced proportionately, and with the buildpower of a single T3 Engineer. It can be assisted. This will be much harder to code, but can be done.
