Nomad download?

Is there a way I can download the Nomads so I can play them separate from FAF? I would like to play some skirmishes using the nomads without having to use FAF and just using the forged alliance game.

I think it's possible by going to the FA.exe that FAF makes. I'm not sure on its location, but I think it's almost folder as the original FA.exe but then in \binFAF instead of \bin. From there, it may be that you can select the nomad mod in the mod manager. When you play in FAF for the first time, it has to download a lot of files. These go in the mod folder as any mod goes. So I think this works

However, it's perfectly possible to play a skirmish game through FAF, by just making sure you're the only human player, and setting the AIs as you wish. Hen you're playing a skirmish, with the only difference at FAF is running in the background. If you insist on not having that, try the first method.

I am aware it is possible to play skirmish on FAF but i want to play on the game as opposed to FAF. So i just need to figure out how to get the nomads

Be aware that doing this reduce the amount of players using FAF online, and so killing it slowly.

Also this turn FAF into a online repository for maps & mods instead of a multiplayer community. People who does the offline trick are not participating in making the game more alive, and are just "stealing" bandwidth for online players.

that page is helpful to me, i just want to be able to play offline and not use FAF all the time, sometimes i like to play multiplayer but sometimes i like tojust play forged alliance against the AI, theres nothing wrong with wanting to do that and also play as the nomads

Yes I am aware of that however on FAF some of the changes ive made tot he game don't appear, for example I changed the range on the mavor so it doesn't shoot so long, on FAF it is back to the default, among a few other changes to the game that I made. So I prefer to play on just the forged alliance game, I'd play FAF more single player if those changes appeared but they do not and I'm unsure how to make it that way on FAF. I don't really wanna play online against other people very often to be honest, I do sometimes but not much.

Playing offline won't fix that. Make a mod with your changes instead of modifying game files.

You don't need to upload your mod to the vault to play with it using faf.

i see, I have never made a mod, its very simple, I just changed the range on the mavor, scathis, and a few other things, seems simple enough I think. Is there a quick easy way to make a mod of that?
