No need to be so aggressive, Outlander.The author didn't do anything "dickish", as far as I can see. It's just kind of unconventional to have ponds on a mostly land map, but hey, Loki has that too. Anyway, here's what I see:
The ponds are there strategically so you can hide your ACU when you are under attack, if you react fast enough and are smart with your positioning. Torpedo planes can still get to it easily. The underwater ACUs are in no way invincible, that's like saying underwater ACUs in the middle pond on Finn's are invincible or something...
As for that tiny bit of reclaim, well, Open Palms has a similar thing with some sort of wooden log or something near the spawn. But it shouldn't matter too much on these 10x10 maps anyway, that fraction of a second you need to reclaim it. At least here it's within range, on Open Palms your ACU actually MOVES to reclaim it...
All in all, no need to rage, just adapt to the map
