Recent server outages?

I am sure we have all seen there have been a lot of issues recently with the stability of the FAF servers.

With the servers dropping and coming back again "Server unavailable" etc

I just wondered what this was due to ? Is it a problem with the servers, as in a bug of some kind or is it capacity load issues? If the latter how much would need to be raised to get better hosting?7

Btw this is not a go at Zep or the team, you do an awesome job, just wondering if there is something the community could do to help?

There wasn't any outage for the last few months.

Maybe a router acting up between you and the server.

To me (location Netherlands) it also happened quite often in the past weeks, that after a game finished the FAF lobby appeared to have lost connection to the server (leaving the chat tab active, the rest disabled). Usually when then closing FAF and restarting/reconnecting, everything is fine again. So the server indeed is not down then. But sometimes then the replay vault does not show anything, and when going to ladder rankings, the connection to the statistics server does not complete.
I don't have a good log file at the moment, will post one if it re-occurs.

I have seen this about 3 times in the last two days. I get a TCP error, as if my computer timed out, but the entire player list shifts to IRC grey and everyone gets the TCP error at the same time. Not just one person. The server does not actually disconnect completely, but it does time everyone out of all the functions except for chat.

Yes, it's happened at least once a day over the last week.

I've been having frequent TCP disconnections recently too come to think of it.

Well it's not the server fault.

Same here, also Netherlands.

Some evenings every 5 minute that disconnect. Games itself go never wrong though.

Exactly as the others say, will be in the chat channel or game lobby, get a "ding" in the background, check and get a message about lost connection to the server.

Happens to everyone in the channel or game lobby at same time. Most of time you can close FAF and come back on and it will go straight back in, other times it will say the server is down for maintenance.

When asking #aoelus everyone says it happened to them.

As I say not a complaint just didnt know if there's something we can do to all help

It also looks like the game result was not processed by the stats server (yet?) (No win-lose in the replay vault, no updated ladder rating.)
