The reason I and many other people disagree with guides and pages like this is that there are many different factors.
1. Map Meta
Albeit this is the least important one but Its generally a good idea for newer players too get the feel for the game
2. Map Sizes and Differences
Bigger maps play differently than smaller maps and saying "Larger maps afford more time to establish borders.".... Not quite as simple as that I am afraid... not too mention that different maps of the same size play differently. Maps with more choke points play differently than big open maps. Theta has a unique style too it altogether since the 4 core mexes are all spread out.
3. What you're opponent is doing
You say "scout you're opponent" You should probably specify more at what they should be looking for since telling people to scout is one thing but getting them to determine what their opponent is doing from what they have scouted is different. Don't worry this is a common problem. But if you're opponent is going for a fast t2 and you are just spamming what do you do? Get OC? yeah so that works for a while but if they send t2 in other directions it doesn't work... Kill them before t2.. yeah not simple as that, its easier but not as simple.. and if it fails you have just given them more reclaim for more t2 units
.
4. Plans
A good plan works well and has different options... air heavy/fast t2/mass spam/whatever else each have different opening plays and generally 1 generic opening doesn't solve this issue.
5. Different race opponents
Different races play differently Ilshova hurt at t2 stage against cybran with few solutions aroura's (used effectively) chew through mantis. You get my point..
Don't get me wrong I and others are appreciative of what you are trying to do
so take this as constructive criticism.
2 things You must have forgotten too include.
Cybran's strongest asset is their speed so runby's runby's runby's... at lower levels it kills most people..
Rhino medusa OP (you have not got past the 7 min stage of you're thing so its merely a reminder)
