Please switch the order of the HQ and normal factory so that the normal, cheaper factory comes first in build menu... noobs make 10 headquarters all the time -.-

Also, why you cant upgrade support factory to HQ?
I find it highly annoying that when you lose your HQ you have to build t1 factory first, even though you have t2/t3 support fac already.

I'm not sure, but when the HQ/Support system was in early development, I think that Zep said something about the many more animations that had to be made. It's 4 (factions) *3 (types) *2 (techs) =12 in total.

Well, It adds to the fact that you need to protect your HQ at all costs, but if mass costs are high enough I guess it's nice to make it possible to upgrade upgraded support factories to an HQ.

Nope, it just adds to the pain in the ass :)
You dont lose your HQ often, and if you do lose it - you are already not in a good position. Why making it more complicated? Being unable to upgrade support fac to HQ just doesnt make sense to me.

I have often seen people just building a ton of HQs, I always assumed it was to avoid this very problem, not because they are being noobish. Guess I was wrong! :D

10 HQs directly in a row is a mistake many ppl make. They dont know the difference.

Also if a player looses his HQ sometimes they scream in chat: " OMFG i cant build!"

iT makes perfect sense to be unable to upgrade your support Factory to an HQ. All of the Intel that is provided to you to make a higher unit is stored in the HQ. The support factories do not have the "blueprints" to build these high tech units, if u lose your "library" then you lose all the information you need to build these units.
