Galactic War Showdown

Postby Hawkei » 27 Apr 2014, 07:46

Hello,

Now that the UEF have captured both the Aeon and the Cybran. I was wondering how much, if any, resistance we are likely to receive from the Seraphim. It did seem there was at one point a time when the Seraphim were heavily dominant in this Galaxy. But now they have become terribly quiet.

Might it be possible for the Seraphim forces to muster their full strength against us? I would hate for this GW to end without any major resistance.

They are afraid of our might.
Peace through superior firepower.

Too many planets.... and/or they take too long to capture. You want to sit around for 2 hours to capture one measly planet? I don't :-p

Yeah the GW map size really needs to be adjusted to the amount of active GW players

Thats true, but in fact size of galaxy does not matter a lot as long as you have borders to active enemies. The bigger universe has the advantage it provides more possible maps where you can attack. Normally people say the way is the target of life. But in GW looks a bit different, people want to win the galaxy and see a result in their attacks. For this the galaxy is to big and the people lose the motivation because it takes weeks to conquer just a part of it. I think the galaxy has to grow with the number of active players. There should be different Sizes of galaxy prepared and depending on the number of active players from the Last galaxy should be chosen the next size.

Active is possible to check i guess at least 30 games the last month of the galaxy. So there would be some kind of galaxy rotation. The other thing i posted in GW part of forum there is no reward atm for winning a galaxy. Faction / Rank avatars would be nice i think. Maybe next galaxy players will spread different again. Not all people in UEF will stay there in a new galaxy i think. What i noticed is that lots of beginners like to play gw since the pro people are stuck in 1v1 games. Thats something good. Beginners have no real consequences in losing games in gw they do not lose rating so it is a nice training. So maybe advise beginners to play gw make team games and 1v1 there. Because there and only there even goos players will make a team together with beginners since a lose has no consequences.
