Insane Emissaries

I havent played many turtle games lately so I've not been up to date to the changes made to artileries but I played this gap yesterday and emissary seemed ridicolous. It seemed like a cheaper mavor that even alone was hard to stop with mutliple overlaped shields and in groups just ignored shields and was "point and kill". What is your opinion on this?

Insane sums it up pretty well. Havn't played GoR in a few weeks but I don't remember the arty to be that strong and accurate. I noticed how each shot took the shield down in two steps (the shield hp went consecutively down in two steps). Maybe it was always like that but overall it looks very op to me (and I never thought thet when playing GoR).

its just that mavor is insane weak .
emissary was one of the strongest artys ever.
it has the lowest aoe and lowest rof.
its only advantage is the damage over time and its high accuracy.
the total damage of all artys is the same.

but ya aeon arty feels a bit stronger especially vs the crappy cybran/ aeon shields.
but vs sera or uef they have a hard time

i saw replay, all this shield damage transfer damage is so weird, but i didn't see much crazy stuff, except maybe fire rate of emissary, cause according to DB it should have 20 sec recharge, t3 pgen adjuscecncy to t3 arty - OP, if you do same with mavor it gonna be good too

i think, very first shots hit all shields together, and they were unable to recharge in time, 12000 damage so stronk

the matter is that the number of shield doesn't affect the defense.
because of aoe, having 1 or 4 shield is the same => all shield drop to the second arty fire.
the only way to deal with this is by enable one or two shield, then dissable them, and enable the other... some shit micro.

well i think we alread got that discussion that t3 artys cost 90 k mass and shields usually hardcounter it.
so just get 3 sr in time and roll them over.

as smith said, its not that the emmisary is strong, its that the mavor is weak.

in comparison with other t3 arty it is about the same, and i think cybran arty might be even better is it fires twice as fast and has more aoe, so it can hit a ton of shields in one shot, and microing shields vs it is even harder.

comparing mavor to its counterparts we see its useless.

salvation costs 10% less and has a LOT more aoe and 40% more dps
scathis has same dps and more aoe, for only 40% of the price, and less range and less precision is not worth 140k mass
uefs own t3 artillery can be built to have a bit more dps, and it will work much earlier as you don't have to buy all 3 at the same time. also you get more total adjacency bonus as there are 3 of them so you can put more t3 pgens next to them

the counter to t3 arty is to fill your base with shields. one t3 shield uses 500 energy/s and can stop an emmisary shell if you build 10-15 of them they should stop it for a long time,
and still cost less than the arty did

you lose 1 guy to monkeylord
you do nothing all game long

you lose your 1 arty with full adjacency to 1 arty with only 1 pgen next to it while building another arty instead of simply adding more shields

you then build 3 artys and are confused that this ends the game

Yeah actually the time has come to give Mavor the buff it really deserves. It's going to be part of V4 of the Tweak Pack.

we aren't arguing about joly gameplay. Go troll elsewhere lame.

cybran arty miss a lot. when I can get aeon tech, I prefers to use aeon arty.
mavor is weak, it's true. I still think arty is strong because aoe damage lot of shield at the same time.
and btw, building 3 SR isn't a good choice, because if they are stop, they will feed opponent (arty doesn't).
