they should, friends are made by ids, not names
so as long as no one touches the ids, friends stay where they are

but Zep should say his word on this to make it clear, I'm lazy to investigate

The only nickname related part is in FA, and translated to ID in the db.

I just want to change bobylein to Bobylein, is there any way to do this? because it says the name is already taken and I don't want to change the name one time to change it another time in a week to Bobylein :/

I see you've changed your name already, so I'm reseting your change name time limit. You can do it again

Use some common sense when your picking your new name too btw. If you use a name that is offensive you will be banned until you change it which is a week. You will still be able to play but the chat facility will be unavailable to you.

What can I do about getting a friend to log on to my other computer? I have a 2nd computer I'm trying to get a friend to play with me on, but when he try's to log in he gets the duplicate ID message.

Each account has associated with it one ip-address. This means if any other account trys to log on through that computer, then it will get the message you described.

To change the ip associated with the account simply log on through a different computer.

Your problem is that you have already got an account on the computer your friend is trying to play on. Log this account onto a different PC to leave it free for your friend.
