As he has to little time for FAF because of work, we should set up a payment system so eventually he can take a day off (or more) to work on this project. Forever :]

For example: poll how many people are willing to pay 2 euro (!) a year to be able to use the lobby. With 2000 members that would be 4000 euro. Devided by 52 = 77 euro per week. I think this way he can take a day off. I obviously assume he earns about that mutch a day and that we have 2000 people willing to pay those 2 bloody euro's.

i think we need zeps opinion on this before doing anything; he already really works a lot on this project, and i think that taking days off might make it too much

You don't get the point. Donations are irregular. Also, the current donations are for the server and charity alone. Zep gets no money AT ALL from us. Job contracts are most oftenly signed for a year. Offcource my idea depends on the kind of contract he has. But by making FAF a legal association with memberships paying each week/month/year, he can take a day off. He deserves it.

I want a spare donation option for donating to volunteers working on this project alone. The server is well supported for the next 100 years, as I've understood.

ZeP can't personally take any money earned by this project for legal reasons. This game is still under copyright.

That is the entire reason that all the money is on donation basis only and all of it goes to server costs and such things. NO ONE can legally earn any money off of the supcom title or anything associated with it without either buying the license or getting express legal consent/ partnering with the company that owns the rights to this engine.
