16 player mod

I've seen a 16 player mod however it doesn't seem to function anymore, possibly due to GPG not working so well.

Does anybody know if there is an updated mod for 16 players to play on a map?

"epic maps" for 12 players already don't work at all. Also, the map has to be build with 16 players in mind, of which there are no maps to my knowledge.

12 player maps don't work!?? Huh? I've played plenty of 12P Seton's and 12P Twin Rivers

Well I'd like to play with larger amount in skirmish or offline, does anybody know if that is something that can be done?

it can't be done outside of FAF unless you steal Moritz/other people work of developing lobby for 12 players

never seen 16 player lobby, but i think there is nothing impossible

Edit: it can be done with FA-Ladder stuff i beleave... not 100% sure, and have no idea why you would want having something outside of faf :D

I wish I could help you, but I haven't heard of such a mode. I am amazed, though, that you have enough patience to wait 15 other players to join your game and then hopefully wait another 15-30 mins to agree on the "balance".

I think there's a hard limit to how many connections you can open to the lobby. I remember reading over it in the code sometime ago. If you dig around though you should be able to find it. HOWEVER

The lobby is already very unstable with 12 connections.
Syncing that many units is going to be very susceptible to update lag.
Desyncs
You need to specifically construct the maps and the lobby.

I do think however it is doable. You'd need to load the new lobby as a simside .scd mod. The new lobby would need to allow for that many connections to the lobby. I think mohodata covers it but I'm not sure. If you muck around in the lua long enough though you should find it.

There is hard coded limit.

Well, there is one, probably 125 or 256 (limit of a 8 bit integer and 8 bit unsigned integer).
