Got to say I agree with you, now that I've got replay flooding in from the game as a whole, we went a tiny bit too far. I personally would like to put Speed = 3.0, but the FiringRandomnessWhileMoving is staying, it's a superb fix. Potentially, I would like to try reducing it by 0.1, but the function will stay enabled. The fact that they get totally slaughtered in a fight is intentional and a very good thing, but to my eye they are now suffering a bit too much from not being able to get to the fight in good time. All the battles happen that little bit closer to the Aeon player's side, if you know what I mean, sort of an automatic loss of map control even before the fight happens.
Problem is that PilOt presented the patch as "Release Candidate 1" which I thought meant we could then fine tune things, but has since confirmed that no balance will be changed until the next major balance period, likely in around 5 months. :/
