Where do you see FAF and FA in 10 years from now on?
I think at some point the restrictions of the fa engine will be too dominant and FaF will perish because FA is not evolving. The solution could be to develop a LUA API and gamedata compatible OpenFA so that the graphics and physics engine could use modern technology and can be extended afterwards. It was done before with TTD and OpenTTD or with "Elite 2 - Frontier" and glFrontier. Think about maps with 20 players and tenthousands of units without lag.
