Mavor - Accuracy?!?!

When did the accuracy of the Mavor get totally reduced to garbage? My God! I had 5 of them and it takes 20 shots to take out a target now.

Sure they're great for taking out built up bases, but they are hardly game enders anymore. They can't hit the broadside of a barn or a city for that matter.

Wow. They're outclassed by the Cybran's mobile artillery now. At least those have a high rate of fire that makes its poor aim rather moot.

Ah well, it only applies playing against AI anyways, so who cares (no one builds Mavors vs. human opponents), but still. It's just brutal now. Just BRUTAL!!!

Sigh.

On bigger distance accuracy decreaces (because it defines by angle)
If you shoot on 80 km it can miss a lot, but I would be actually OK if accuracy is increased, so mavor will be better than salvation at least in something

Why isn't the most expensive arty in the game pinpoint accurate?

May not literally that precise, but guaranteed hit on clicked square should be the case.

Yeah.. taking into account that it can be totally blocked by shields without too much effort it should at least be accurate...

Yeah when I play with friends on betrayal ocean 2v2v2v2 we always end up building mavors, since salvation doesn't reach.... But they need way too much shots, making accuracy higher will result in it one-hitting commanders alot.. So how about a 1.5x rate of fire or even 2x so it fairs against any shield not cybran..

Has the mavor's accuracy ever been changed in FA?

Anyway, I think it is not good enough for the larger games, and that is really the only time you see the Mavor. So Improved accuracy is a must.

Mavor had a pinpoint accuracy in vanilla SupCom, but apparently they thought it was OP, so they changed it :idea:
It is innacurate, but you can always surround it with 4 T3 pgens, which makes it fire 50ish % faster...

Like its said in that topic, it needs to be better for the price. When you compare against YO and salvation it just isn't good.

You should never build it. Build 5 novax centres instead. You get 100% accuracy, more dps and intel.

Also whats with the salvations regen?

I've asked pip to stealth-buff the FR to 0.1 in this patch but he hasn't yet. Maybe if more people ask him... Go on, get PMing!

Salvation is qualified as at3 unit, despite the obvious fAct that it's an experimental. t3 units get 3 hp/s regen with each veterancy level, experimentals 10.

Although I'm not sure how these regen values are going to help you when a monkeylord arrives at the artillery, or a bunch of strat bombers.
