Graphics memory needed for dual monitor

I'm currently using an AMD HD6870 1GB graphics card, my main monitor can go up to 2560X1440 and my second monitor can go up to 1920X1080.
If I play SupCom/FA with dual monitors, is the 1GB of memory enough?

Why do you not try setting up a skirmish game with AI vs AI. Set the fog of war to off and as soon as the game starts just kill off your ACU. As the AI's are fighting zoom in and out and move the camera around as if you were playing. Speed it up till the late game and do the same.

Also have cheats on so that you can spawn a couple hundred ASFs for your self and 50 or so Restorers for the AI. Try microing the ASF's to take out the blob. This is where performance hits the most.

If the video is stuttering to the point it is unbearable try toning down some graphic settings or reducing the resolution.

Another fun test, spawn 100 UEF ACU's around a map. Self destruct all of them and then zoom in and out of the explosions.

there also have been some performance issues regarding supcom and 2 screens with amd drivers - i had 8fps after a driver patch
so be careful

i now play on windowed mode stretched across 2 screens, and i split it into 2 with the "home" key this isnt the best way but it gives me ~40-50 fps

i think your setup should work, but if it doesnt, then your drivers are probably at fault, and you cant really do much, (if you can tell me ) apart from using windowed mode
