Should I install Forged Alliance before playing SupCom

Postby Tacoboy » 05 Feb 2014, 04:07

I just installed the original Supreme Commander on to my Win 8.1 PC, before playing Supreme Commander, would it be worth it to also install Forged Alliance.
Would Forged Alliance improve Supreme Commander game play?
Or anything else I could install to improve game play?

Forged Alliance is a standalone expnsion, the first SupCom is basicly only there if you want to play the original Storymode.

Yes it does improve gameplay, and gives you the second campaign. Also it's nessesary to play multiplayer, which is the most important reason to play Supreme Commander^^

You can still start the original SupCom btw after you installed FA.

I advise you to do the Supreme Commander Campaign, then install Forged Alliance. There is no need for the expansion if you intend to play Supreme Commander campaign solo. However, if you want to play the Supreme Commander campaign in Coop via FAF lobby, then, install Forged Alliance too, you will need it.
Finally, if you don't care about campaign, just skirmish and multiplayer, focus directly on Forged Alliance, you don't even need to install Supreme Commander in that case, as FA is a stand alone.
