Lan play fully updated please and saves

Hello I downloaded the forged alliance forever and installed it. I have a couple of requests. I am a father of 3. I do not have hours to play in one sitting. is there anyway to update the forged alliance on my harddrive to the current version of 3.10 or 3.09. and play from my personal computer with the option of saving after 15-20 minutes. I know I can pause the game from the faf server but I would have to leave my game on for days at a time to finish one game. Also I change my own units and can not play with my modded units in the online server only from my own personal lan server. an option to install the faf update to my pc would be great. this would also allow me to play FA when I go to burgerking and watch the kids play. (internet there is horrible and they shut it off all the time)

My suggestion is to buy 3 good pc's and train your kids to play Supcom FA. Then you guys can dominate all the team games and play for hours at a time.

Go to C:Program Files/THQ/GPG/Forged Alliance/binFAF. Inside there is ForgedAlliance.exe. Shortcut that and use it to play FAF offline.

I'm afraid adding saves for skirmish games or multiplayer games is beyond our ability at the present time.

If your mod is mod-manager compatible, you can use any mods with FAF in offline mode that would work with other versions of FA.

hmmm. Maybe I can integrate this.

If you're only playing singleplayer / skirmish, you can already save and load games. You do not need to be connected to the internet to play with the 3610 patch if you are not playing a multiplayer game - simply use the ForgedAlliance.exe found in the "binFAF" folder inside your game's installation folder.

I remember playing with that mod - I think it would be quite impractical to use, as it would necessarily require the same group of people to agree to continue a previous game at a later time. While an interesting idea, I've never once seen a situation where this would be desirable or even practical.

Thank you everyone. I am very surprised with all of the help everyone has given me. I know most people do not have my problems but they have still taken the time to post a response. I did not know about the fa.exe in faf bin folder.
