With the new level builder perhaps we can make things that aren't campaigns as well.
How about a 1v1 minigame challenge mode? I'm thinking a series of 20x 30 seconds tiny challenges.

Player 1 gets 10 tanks and acu - Player 2 gets just acu - survive for 30 seconds!
Player 1 gets 6 bricks - Players 2 gets just monkey - kill the monkey in 30 seconds!
Both players get a single t1 bomber and have to kill 10 engies in 30 seconds!
etc

It would basically be a series of micro exercises. The idea is it would be fun and less serious, but it would put players in throw away situations where micro is what its all about. You could get a medium score for passing the level and a bonus if you do it really fast ... or bonus's if you do something really cool (dont know if this is possible) but micro your way out of certain death. Bonuses woudl come in the form of extra random units like ... mercies :)

The actual tasks would be randomized ... what task is next would be random, and the exact amount of units you get would be random, but would get harder and harder as you increase level. I'm dying to see zock kill a monkey with an aurora on level 100.

Besides being a bit of fun ... it helps you train on a particular skill without having to focus on everything else at the same time.

(Maybe we dont need level editor for this .. perhaps map script or a mod - I have no idea)

Yes, little tutorial/challenge map like the ones in Starcraft 2 is definitively a good idea.

On one hand, this sounds great- the ability to do challenges etc will make for some rreally cool game modes, but on the other hand, other people will get better at microing units!

You can follow Domino's progress here. He says it's starting to come together. He posts demo videos pretty frequently and is doing some really cool stuff.

My other points is, is that i find FAF awesome but very very stressful. It would be nice to play in a simpler, happy mode sometimes ...

I can't be the only person who is totally wired whilst playing a 1v1
