I mean, I'm all about hard difficulty levels, and challenges, but I feel this is a bit extreme. Over 1.5k units attacking me within 8 minutes? o.O

The replay is only 8 minutes long. Its worth it to watch to the end.
I will stop bitching about it once blackheart can beat it. Then I will take it as a challenge.
And this is less of a *OMG I'M ANGRY FIXFIXFIX* and more of a *lol, this is funny as hell* So I wanted to share. I absolutely love the co-op bridge.

This mission isn't very difficult, just annoyingly tedious. The host player with the t2 fac and engy should immediately build an additional t2 power assisted by other acus, then everyone goes into the water and assists host with his RAS upgrade. Everyone builds RAS underwater, since the AI never sends any torp bombers. Then its mass t2 cruisers, t2 flak etc or my personal fav. put gamespeed +10 and build a nukesub and nuke the shit outta the island. This map is a nightmare with laggers though :cry:

I played it aswell. But there are no cruisers available. I can only build t1 navy. Not to ralk about nukesubs. I played it alone. What i did was surviving air attack and get a gun and t2. When i had it finished my base was gone from the drops. However i had some aa boats left to kill roaming bombers. When they were dead i buil some new navy yards ( old ones get killed bye mobile missle launchers. But only because roaming air scouted them) and frigates for radar and fire support. Then i killed all units on the island except a few mobile aa. Then i rebuilded the base and spammed shitloads of Subs to prepare for navy attack. I could kill all the ships but there comes another big drop within the navy attack and i lost my base again. At that point i was out of time and not willing to re conquer the island again. But i guess could have rebuilded again like before. (Kill all units despite a flak...).
But i have no idea how to handle that without tricking the ai.

I mean, me and Aulex beat it by doing exactly that, but I feel like you shouldn't have to hide in a corner and exploit stupid AI to win a game. You can do that with literally every mission. I think it just defeats the point. Plus, when me and Aulex beat it, we got a mission failed as soon as we 'killed' Arnold. Also, Player 2 can build any tech he wants. T1-T4 even FA exclusive stuff like paragons. But player one is still restricted to the campaign tech restrictions.

I expirienced the same. Build restrictions for all not host players seem to be messed up. But thats not only for mission 3 it seems to be the case for all aeon missions. At least mission 1 3 and 4.
I played mission 4 yesterday and blackheart was able to upgrade mexes and airfacs to t3 with hotbuild keys. But he could only build strats from t3 airfac. In mission one and three non host players were able to build anything without restrictions.

Yes, build restricitons (as designed for the mission) only apply for the host of the game. Somehow not intended I think but makes it easier to play with others ;)

EDIT:
I think this is a bug in the script.

As mentioned here
viewtopic.php?f=45&t=5169#p53929
the restrictions should apply not only to the player but to all coop players as well. But the iteration loop is not included in the current script

It's obviously a bug that was not reported before. I will fix in when I have time.

Missions 1 and 4 are correct as far as I can see.
