remove "livestreams" tab from lobby?

we have seen some amazing new features in the lobby in the last couple of months: galactic war, mod vault, coop missions. the tutorials and GW tab need more attention in the future.
thank you very much to everybody, who has helped to make this possible!

i have NEVER seen any livestream online, though. this is the reason to suggest removing the livestream tab from the lobby again.
it will be less clutered, and things like the wiki, casts, etc are alnot NOT on the lobby (but on the webpage, of course).

what is your opinion about it?
was there ever a livestream, which was not announced in the chat?

I do livestreams every now and then but personally I wouldn't be bothered if the tab got removed, you can still check the What's new page I believe (on the right there's also livestreams check)

The goal of this tab is to promote livestream. Moving it in a sub-menu will defeat the purpose.

how about promoting casts?
usually, the quality of casts is much better and new players can learn much more from them...

An alternative that came to mind:



-you can close the tabs if you don't want them
-else they will be always visible, you don't need to visit the livestreams tab all time if you want to know if one is online
-they can open the link to the stream in the browser. I'm not sure how other experience this, but watching a stream in FAF itself is not enjoyable for me (not able to use other tabs at same time, small, no adblock)

-maybe a problem if too many streams are online?

-needs time of someone who does it

in my opinion its the youtube casting that needs some love. Gyle is the only regular one on the list atm. the others haven't casted in weeks.
id love to see casters who create new content often added.

also, for livestreaming, in truth only a few people actually have a high enough quality of picture to be 'promoted'.
and some stream non-FaF content.

the livestreaming is good, but its the youtube casters that will "get the message out" about FaF by reaching a larger audience.

Well how adding casters page in lobby would promote faf i have no idea . Livestream page is there because streams are actually live, so you want to know when you can watch some, for casts you just check subscriptions.

I guess my point was not every livestreamer should be added unless they have good enough quality. just the select few.
just saying I have more interest in casts, purely because of quality and consistency.
