you can see your opponents build order with almost 100% accuracy from the score, which is obviously quite bad for ladder play

With the old Score in the GPG UI, I could tell exactly who was in front of who. How my opponent was ecoing and what I needed to be doing. It worked like a 6th sense. It was free intel. The score allowed me to read the game, and determine the state of play. Telling me when and how to attack. It allowed the appropriate selection of strategy, with no intel whatsoever.

I could tell if the first factory was air or land, or if he was rover rushing, and even if he was going for lots of power. By gauging the score differential by the combat units I was seeing on the field I could tell "when he was upto something". Then I would look for this secret project, and there was a good chance I'd find something. I could tell when he built T4.

There was even a meta-game developed surrounding the score. Where players would deliberately pause mexes to hide their BO, and make it look like something else... Now the score is gone, and the game is better for it.
