Post Process Injector for FAF (Updated it 2.1)

Postby BlackFish » 18 Dec 2011, 17:56

It's meant for Skyrim but I've tested it on other games like FA and UT3 and the results aren't bad. Can anybody give a second opinion?

(Copy the files to binFAF and load up FA or watch a replay to see the difference).

t'll actually kill some framerate so watchout (you can switch the effect on and off in game by pressing pause).

I'd post screenshots but taking a screenshot hides the effect magically.

The Post Process Injector got updated to 2.1, and now includes a FXAA tool that can help you tweak all the settings the injector provides.

I fail to understand the purpose of making the display more noisy, grainy

its impossible to make the interface look clean and normal, because the Post process effets affect not only the game, but also the interface and everything. I'm going to try to tweak it a bit more, see if a can get better results. Thanks. :)

i dont see an advantage either. And if it makes the game slower by using additional ressources, it shouldnt be allowed in multiplayer matches, where some people already slow down very early. (I know it only affects the user, but who says, that all users of it have great pcs?)

Well, they may say that this have a "FPS hit" but its not like 10fps, just 3~4 FPS. On my mid-end rig i didnt even see the diference. (i never went less than 2 in multiplayer "ren_shownetworkstats").

I'm working to improve the config, the overal seems better than the vanilla, but some maps look weird. :D

imho what would be really relevant is some way to optimize the engine of the game

It is quite sad to see that even 2600k cannot run all games 100% smoothly
