Strategic Icons

Can we please rethink the strategic icon changes. + is indicative of a direct fire unit.

The only other unit for Cybran that has X is the frickn mobile bomb, no other unit should have a symbol remotely close to that.

Well I suggested a "+" which is surrounded by a circle. Which would indicate a direct fire unit that is heavily armoured. Mind you, I don't see any great issues. I'm happy to leave it there.

Be aware that you have only 13 x 7 pixels. A circle arround the X would already touch the border significantly.

I have better thing to do that worry about strat icons. I case you did not noticed, I have nothing to do with that change.

If you have a better idea, feel free to post it instead of making fun of other people work.

First; Has nothing to do with you - why reply? You did not agree, or disagree or put fourth any input
Second; I'm sorry if ANYONE was/is offended - I've offered a valid point - Do not use a marker similar to the mobile bomb, FOR ANYTHING.
Third; An alternative has been posted (circle around)... or alter the outside shape/appearance in some other way(make the outer line BOLD?)


Fourth; In the balance patch thread there was 1 who liked it, and one who agreed with me. That's 2against, 1 for.
BetterIdea: Put it back the way it has been for years? Again, I've yet to note the complaint they cant tell their bricks apart from the loyalist....And now 'TWO at least' who disagree with the current setup.

is there enough space for simply a little square (3x3px w/ hole)?
i dont think if it really matters if it has the same sign as the bomb, but if the square works i think its not too bad.

I like the way it is now. I can easily count the number of bricks vs loyalists without zooming in. I'm for this change.

The mobile bombs and the armored bots have different shapes, different tiers, and different symbols. I don't see how you can be confused after a couple games.
It was much more likely to confuse Loyalist and Bricks because they had the exact same icon, yet they are very different units.

It was Zock's idea to use a different icon, Zock is member of the balance team, that's why his change was implemented. We don't count how many people are for or against a change, otherwise, the game would be screwed up. This icon diversification is a part of improving gameplay at t3 because in 3626, it's much more common to have huge t3 armies than before, and then very handy to be able to distinguish the armored bots from other units.
