People leaving games

I have one question.
I find very annoying to see all those players leaving games as soon as they got a disavantage in the game (for example loosing one player).
In some online games, players leaving their team are punished, with cooldown before playing again, malus on score, blame, etc...
Why don't we have a similar system ?

well, if it's a ranked, it's there personal choice to give up when they think they have lost (or ragequit)
if it somebody constantly leaves teamgames you should think about talking to a mod or stopping playing with him

I understand your point of view, but it's every game. If I report each time, I will be the annoying guy ^^
We should have an auto report system like in "LoL" for example. (I say that, but it may be difficult to do :s)

In gpg net there was that small program called playertrack. It collected statistics from each game and each player, one statistic was the percentage of quitted games. I am sure it would be possible to use this program in order to collect game statistics from faf instead of gpg. But the problem is i have not the slightest clue about programming and the people who do have a clue dont have the time to do it as they are busy with more important stuff.
Although i think it would be a very nice tool to integrate this into faf one day.

Yeah falcon x was the guys name. Nice V finally i can profit from the female ability to remember everything .
Normally i suffer from it when i argue with my gf.
Maybe someone has his skype account or has his email and ask if he would be willing to provide this API . Whatever an api is.

i dont see the problem of rage quits.. well, the only problem would be if you lose someone in ur team and the rest of ur team leaves so u are alone then and have to wait til they kill you.. but besides that - what is the problem?

Because if the rest of your opposition quits, you don't get the smug sense of self-worth from slowly grinding the other three of them to dust.
This is just an extension of the "I don't like it when people leave 1v1 ranked games when they know/think they've lost" thing.
