Usefull thoughts about drop conections

Postby LittleInferno » 16 Jun 2013, 01:59

Now that i start PA bec i can´t play here anymoore, one thing i guess you guys could work that works really great on pa its iff you drop conection by some reason or even iff home power down, when active you can keep play, thats amazing , and you not wast you´r time playing ,and you´r game don´t stop iff you not there it keeps running....
And i don´t think its impossible, how many off you drop off game and come again on FA or saw that happend to other players.
It happends to me 3/4 times drop i not reset router, only power OFF and then ON and waiting some time because no 1 kick me i was able to keep play...
So maybe thats something to work.

It's just impossible because that's simply not the way the game engine or the multiplayer connections were designed.

In part, that's why you can't rewind replays, you can only restart them. The game engine can't jump into a certain point in a "world", it can only "build" it over time, so to speak.

Also, the game is entirely P2P was it starts. So there isn't really a server dedicated to saying what player is assigned to what game. The game would have to reconnect to each player still in the game, and again, that's simply not the way that FA was programmed.

It is impossible for FA without it's source code.
